Privacy Policy

The short version: We collect only what we need to write your drafts and run your subscription. We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
Closing Lines is operated by Closing Lines LLC, based in Colorado. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Closing Lines website and app, how we use it, and your choices. Questions go to fadalabdul1@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- What you enter in the app: property details, client first names, notes and any writing sample you choose to include. We send this to our AI provider to create your draft. We don't keep it in our own database.
- Usage counts: to enforce free and Pro limits, we store a count of your generations linked to a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address or license key, not the address or key itself.
- Purchase information: when you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details. We receive your name, email, order details and license key. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider automatically records standard information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and error messages. We use it only to keep the Service running and secure.
- Emails you send us: if you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
3. Stored in your own browser
To save you time, the app stores your license key, your writing sample and unfinished form entries in your browser's local storage on your device. This information stays on your device and isn't sent to us except as part of a request you make. You can remove it anytime with the "Remove key" button, or by clearing your browser's site data.
We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
4. How we use information
- To generate your drafts and run the Service.
- To check license keys and enforce usage limits.
- To process payments, provide receipts and handle cancellations (through Lemon Squeezy).
- To respond to your questions and send important service or billing notices.
- To prevent abuse, fix problems and keep the Service secure.
- To follow the law.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Anthropic processes the text you enter to generate drafts. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through its API isn't used to train its models by default. Anthropic may keep it for a limited time for safety and legal reasons. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the website and stores usage counts. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payments, tax and license keys as merchant of record. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
6. How long we keep it
- What you enter in the app isn't stored by us after your draft is created.
- Free-use counts are kept only as long as needed to enforce the limit. Pro usage counts are kept by month.
- Purchase records are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- Hosting logs are kept according to Netlify's standard retention.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email fadalabdul1@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as purchase history, where the law requires. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state law, and we'll honor valid requests. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
8. Client information
Please enter only what's needed to write the draft. Avoid sensitive details about clients, like financial account numbers, Social Security numbers or health information. First names and general preferences are plenty.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep secret keys out of the website code, and store usage data in scrambled form. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects you.
10. Children
The Service is for adults working in real estate and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect children's information.
11. Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. For important changes, we'll email Pro subscribers.
